Gift, Decorating,
and Serving Ideas
Tomato Servers are very versatile.
They can be used to serve congealed salads, casseroles, brownies, and
many other pastries.
Every room in the house can use a
cake basket. Since they were made for such a long time period,
they come in many different sizes and shapes. They are wonderful display
pieces for potpourri, candies/mints, hand towels and soaps in the bathroom,
and on the buffet line for all kinds of rolls, deserts, and hordeurvs.
One thing I like to do is put a beautiful linen in the bottom, and fill
it with your favorite collection such as napkin rings.
The
Victorian crumber is the best enchilada and crepe server available!
The spooner is unique on the
buffet line or next to the coffee pot. Many of the larger ones can also
be used for forks. Taller celerys can be used for knives. Spooners are
also an attractive way to display treasured flatware that has been handed
down. They also make good pen/pencil holders at the desk or computer.
Butterdish - If you enjoy compliments
and comments, place ice in the bottom, replace the liner, and serve your
favorite cheese ball at your next party. Most of the butterdishes have
a holder on the side for the knife.
