Symbolism. We'll admit we aren't the best at deciphering these things. But in this instance, this beautiful fob is fairly straight forward and we just love what it represents and its beauty.
Dating to late Georgian or early Victorian times, it's a gold cased piece (many were made this way so that they were sturdy when stamping into wax) that includes the most detailed and delightful ship sailing away from a cliffside with gusto. So it's charting a new course, setting off on a new adventure, when one door closes another opens sort of feel. And who hasn't felt that way once or twice in their life, right? Heck maybe even 20 times.
The details on the water, and the sails, and even the cliffside are just outstanding. And the fob itself is just gorgeous and the perfect size to get noticed but not be cumbersome. She's also in nearly pristine condition which is marvelous for such an old piece too. She's a beaut!
